Symbian Eduroam Settings

For mobile phones using Symbian operating system: (Version must be at least S60v5 and support EAP-TTLS/PAP 'Ex: Nokia 5800'). Please see the following sections for settings.
When you enter the Eduroam options, you will see settings as above
Data Carrier : Wireless LAN
WLAN network name : eduroam
Network status : GeneralA
WLAN security mode : WPA/WPA2A
should be in the form
Enter the WLAN security settings
WPA/WPA2 : EAP
WPA2 mode only : Off
and then set it to
Enter EAP plug-in settings
Select only EAP-TTLS in the list, switch off other options.
With EAP-TTLS selected, enter Edit from the options


Authorisation Certificate on the EAP-TTLS settings page
User name used : user defined
User name :student or staff user e-mail address
Kull.security domain : User Defined
Security domain :
TLS confidentiality : Closed


After setting the arrow at the top right on the phone
Skip to the next page after the tick,
Set so that only PAP is selected in the list of EAPs.
And select PAP and enter Edit
User name :kullanici_adi@beun.edu.tr (user_name@*.karaelmas.edu.tr if you are a student)
Password : It is the same as the e-campus password (your mail password)
You can now exit the settings and access the internet with eduroam.
